On campus/Virtual Event requests

Requests are an important part of events our our platform and are how potential employers interact with any events you wish to host. The employer experience differs from the student experience in that potential employers use the requests systems to either register for existing events or request to host an on-campus event to speak with or interview with potential candidates.

Managing Requests

While navigation can differ slightly, the typical menu names are 'Event Request file', 'Request file', 'Event & Interview Requests', or 'On-campus Requests'. If you are ever unsure where to access employer requests feel free to hop into our LiveChat during our chat hours or email us at support@gradleaders.com and we'll assist as soon as we can.

Upon reaching this page there are a few things to look out for here:

The requests will be sorted into Outstanding (yet to be actioned upon), Confirmed (Request accepted), Declined (Request denied)and Incomplete (form is missing required info).

While the other tabs are self-explanatory the Incomplete tab is different and will house requests that range from missing required information (by closing the page early before saving these answers) or missing payment if you require fees to be paid upon registration. You are still able to take action on any requests here and the tabs purpose is to easily separate any requests that weren't properly filled out.

Adding Requests

While you on this page, if you want to add a request on behalf of a company you can do so by clicking on 'Next Actions' > 'Add Request'.

From there you can go through the form and fill it out appropriately. This is often done if a company had a request declined initially (there is a limit of one request per event for employers to prevent potential spam so they wouldn't be able to register again if declined the first time) or if they are unable to submit a request themselves.

Approving Requests

Different things will happen upon approval depending on the OCR type (ex: Career fairs vs requests to host on-campus events). If the request is for an employer to attend a On-campus or Virtual Career fair, the request will be moved to the Confirmed tab and the will be automatically added to the 'Organization Signups' tab of the Career fair in question.

If this is a request to host an On-Campus/Virtual information session or interviews, then once approved you will be navigated to a page to create the new event/interview with information from the employer request filled out already. You can complete this form and upon saving it will have created the associated event and it will be visible to Employers.

If you have any questions at any point you are always welcome to come into our LiveChat or email us at support@gradleaders.com and we will do our best to assist you in a timely manner.
